Cant wait for the post game speech by vagina fangs.
This was total failure at every level of the game. It’s not going to get any easier folks
So...we hired a Defensive guru coach...And the DEFENSE IS AWFUL! Offense worse too. Special teams might just be worse. Oh, and we spread out Flacco’s money.
No adjustments, no gutsy calls, no urgency, no pressure. So glad I didn’t pony up for Sunday ticket. Was going to do the sports bar thing but I think my wife can have the fall Sundays this year.
I’m going to just go ahead and say it. Fangio/Flacco were really bad ideas.
I think the Bonkos can forget about any playoff run this season. The defense was garbage, the OL was unable to get untracted. The oft-injured Jawan James went down in the first quarter with a knee. The oft-injured Bryce Callahan couldn't even start, thus forcing Yiadom into the lineup with predictably ter-bysmal results.
They practiced with Kareem Jackson at SS all pre-season, and had to move him back to CB because of Yiadom's total crap-itude. Perhaps if they had done that to start the game Derek Carr might not have passed for 2000 yards in the first half.
Defensive Special teams were crap-tastic as well; last year Dwayne Harris torched the Broncos on kickoff returns, and he did it again; 2 returns for 101 yards, including a 70 yarder.
On the plus side Joe Flacco didn't suck. 21 of 31 for 268 yards and 1 TD, no Ints. He stood tall in the pocket and made throws downfield.
But, the lack of a 1st half running game was fatal. Broncos finished with 95 yards rushing, most in the 2nd half when the Raiders were comfortably ahead.
Well, now they are on a short-week against a Bears team with 10 days off between games to make adjustments after their brutal week 1 loss to Green Bay.
The loser of that game will be effectively eliminated from playoff contention at 0-2 in tough divisions.
Why is it that raiders te Waller is better then fant
Might as well if that’s how you are going to use him. Did we even have a sack? I saw no pressure and our D-line was constantly gashed. Isn’t that supposed to be the strength of the team?
We’re going to be the team that gets other teams back on track. I thought we had a 9-7 ceiling if things broke just right. Damn was that wildly optimistic.
