Cian Fahey, who does a lot of film breakdown stuff on YouTube and twitter and worked with ESPN a few years ago on some stuff, is doing most of the charting for this new No Checkdown things. Here’s Carr’s from last night.

Just no pressure, and I think that reflects Carr’s chart there.

Kind of hard to create pressure when the QB is throwing so quickly. 19 of his 23 completions were 10 yards or less.

If you're saying they need pressure on the WR's at the line, I agree. We can't allow those quick passes. There's just no time to get any pressure at all.

Both. They didn’t make any adjustments. Didn’t throw any different looks. Didn’t mix up coverages much. Just let Carr stand back there and pick Yiadom apart.

I have not read most of the comments, so don't know if this has been mentioned, but many of the local sports people are suggesting that many of the Broncos problems, etc. last night were caused by the starters playing very little in the preseason games.

Raiders starters played about the same amount of preseason time. Their third preseason game, the one where everyone is supposed to start, was that debacle in Winnipeg and they didn’t play.

If I'm putting a positive spin on it I'd say they were probably rallying around each other after all that AB drama and they were just feeding off that raucous crowd. We might have just stepped into a perfect storm of a motivated team/fanbase. I think week two will really tell a lot about what this team really is.

The biggest question about next week is who is going to start the game day thread, and what meme is going to be used!

Obviously, as many have mentioned that defensive performance last night was just beyond disappointing. By reputation arguably the best D-Coordinator in the league and to just get dominated like that by the Raiders?

Truly disconcerting. Could taking Fant over LB help that was readily available look any worse right now?

One thing that both Sandy and Orlando agreed on was that they felt since Fangio has to be on the sidelines, Donatell needs to be up in the booth, rather on the sidelines where he has been, as there is a better field view up there to relay info. to Fangio.

Last night on postgame, Chad Brown's argument that the starters should have played more in preseason was based on new coaches, new QB, new schemes, etc.

Somewhat fair. I think Wave’s thoughts are probably more the issue than not playing preseason games, though. Coliseum was louder than it’s been in years.

Yeah if we put up another dud like this next week at home then it's time to press the panic button.

And with everything the players went thru with Brown, and the outcome, I think they wanted to prove that they did not need Brown to win.
