I just think in general whenever you root against a team because they have a bad dude, it's always going to eventually end with your team signing a bad dude and you having to do mental gymnastics to justify rooting for your team. I figure every team probably has at least one really bad guy so it's easier just not to base rooting interests on that.
As far as I'm concerned, the function of a pro athlete is to entertain me. They aren't dating my family members, or babysitting my nieces and nephews, or being my roommate, or anything else that would have any sort of real bearing on my life. I just want to watch sports and be entertained. What they do off the field isn't my business.
If it's in my face I'll make a judgment. If it's a player on my team I might have to hold my nose because I like my team and I don't have control of the roster. But when I know there is a child abuser who was essentially pardoned and is now celebrated, it turns my stomach. There you go.

really pisses me off we are stuck with ****ing Fangio while Shanny Jr went to the 49ers with his dad, and John Lynch.
The fact Ellis denied the Shannahans, and is somehow remotely in charge of the Broncos, is the great tragedy of this organization right now.
Lock and Shanny Jr would be a SB every year.
