So, to be fair to Vince...this approach seems to be more solidified than the last XFL.
I'm with MnPats on this. I don't remember seeing and am not finding evidence of injury prior to the hip dislocation. In fact, this is what I did find:

Dr. Joyce's report gave no indication that Jackson had suffered bone or cartilage problems before the injury in the playoff game. In being tackled, Jackson suffered a small fracture of the back wall of the acetabulum, the cup-shaped bone in the hip joint. Jackson also dislocated his hip. Although the bones spontaneously popped back in place, the injury also apparently tore blood vessels.
