It has been a new tradition to start off a new season with the defending SB champs playing in the opening Thursday night. However, with this being the 100th season of the NFL, How could you do better then the last 2 remaining teams that have been playing each other for 100 years? Having the Packers (who actually started 1 year before then NFL started, but didn't join until the 2nd season) take the Cards spot & have them playing the Bears instead for the 199th time (the most 2 NFL teams have played each other). Currently the Packers lead the Bears 97-95-6, including them being tied 1-1 in the post season. https://www.pro-football-reference.c...tm2=gnb&yr=all
My prediction, they be tied in their life time head-to-head record when the Bears complete the season sweep on December 15th (week 15).
