they will be when they get hundreds of millions from the NFL.
St. Louis basically subsidized that team. It was a drain on the city and its resources. They gave them an entire practice facility and the land for 1$. It was one of the most sweetheart deals a NFL team could get to move there.
oh and as for LA being the Rams home.
Its not.
Maybe decades ago it was, but nobody in that city even cares about that team. The people i know in LA treat the Rams as an ex gf who came back to them after 20 years.
I know they have been trying to turn the entire riverfront of the Mississippi and city into a massive development.
The riverfront is really underdeveloped and could be pretty amazing if done right. Parks, bars, entertainment, etc. Could make a really cool attraction for the city. Need to destroy a few blocks of abandoned old buildings in the process as well.
The North riverfront of St. Louis is basically just old businesses and buildings and then a bunch of floodlands.
my friend who works in the city government there, told me the plan is something similar to Pittsburghs riverfront.
I mean there is people in St. Louis government talking about the Chiefs, and how they will never devote state funding to even that NFL team and its stadium or upgrades, etc.
Its basically scorched earth at this point.
I think that is the rub here, i would almost feel sympathetic towards Garrett had he initially come out and said that is what set him off. But to wait until a week later when you are going to try and get your suspension reduced to only bring it up feels disingenuous to me. Not to mention there were a lot of players around them both when the fight took place and no one is corroborating his story.
There wasn’t a lot of players around when Rudolph was wrestling around needlessly and attempting to rip Garrett’s helmet off.
Barring another player confirming Garrett’s story it’s a bit hard for me to buy it personally - through Rudolph seems like a gigantic douche himself so who knows.
And wouldn’t surprise me if some players side with/believe Garrett’s story.
Good lord, Bill O’Brien makes some mind boggling decisions.

I love DeShaun Watson. I'm so glad we passed up on him so we could develope Paxton Lynch.
