**** the patriots.
Date rape is a serious problem because it's rarely false. The percentage of women who never report being raped is vastly greater than the number of false accusations. Like maybe 100-1.
That's over 30 million women in the US who have been raped at one point in their life. Most women never report being raped because it's too humiliating. And date rape is much more difficult to prove and more humiliating and thus less likely to be reported.Statistics on Sexual Violence: "Nearly one in 10 women has been raped by an
intimate partner in her lifetime, including completed
forced penetration, attempted forced penetration
or alcohol/drug-facilitated completed penetration.
One in four girls and one in six boys will be sexually
abused before they turn 18 years old
34% of people who sexually abuse a child are family
members
12.3% of women were age 10 or younger at the time
of their first rape/victimization, and 30% of women
were between the ages of 11 and 17"
The law is - it doesn't matter even if the woman was drinking with you, or went home with you and got in bed.
No means no consent. Period. That's the law.
But how can such things be proved?
The text messages from Antonio Brown reveal a complete misogynist scumbag who treats women like trash. It reveals a pretty vile piece of human scum. He has denied the rape charge, but he hasn't so far denied he sent those texts.
Those are plenty evidence of what sort of person AB is. One perfectly capable of committing rape and then laughing about it.
Doesn't prove he did it, but his revealed personality is perfectly capable of it.
If you don't agree just read them, and then ask yourself. "Would the person who texted this be likely to commit rape or not?"

- John Elway“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”
Great story on SI.com today that digs deep into AB. Sounds like quite a guy:
