*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

Copy of order dismissing suit in @Broncos case obtained by @9WantsToKnow shows, among other things, that death of owner Pat Bowlen rendered part of case "moot" #9NEWS #9WantsToKnow

Judge Scipione added: "There may be other parties, including (Pat Bowlen's) named beneficiaries, with standing to bring claims against (trustees), but (Bill Bowlen) is not the appropriate party." #9sports

Court documents: District Court Judge John E Scipione "dismissed in its entirety" Bill Bowlen's lawsuit. In judge's analysis, Pat Bowlen's passing left Bill Bowlen without standing to file complaint against trustees Ellis, Slivka, Kelly. #9sports

Brittany Bowlen, FYI, is working at global business consulting firm McKinsey & Co. and is expected to return to Broncos' front office in senior management position this season. #9sports

With Bill Bowlen lawsuit dismissed in its entirety, Joe Ellis ad fellow trustees will continue to execute ownership succession plan as Pat Bowlen set up many years ago. #9sports

Seriously guys from the outside looking in doesn't it feel like this is a classic power play by the trustees? Beth Bowlen Wallace is classy and assertive. Brittany isn't even 30 yet. It feels like regencies in monarchies where a person manipulated the young princeling behind the scenes

Looks more like the trustees are carrying out Pat Bowlen's wishes.

Here are a couple articles laying out each's qualifications as it relates to what Mr. Bowlen laid out. It's also worth noting that multiple people, over the course of multiple years, have stated that Pat Bowlen indicated he believed Brittany would not only take over the Broncos but be the first significant female owner in the NFL.

There is no comparison between Beth's Broncos/league experience (superficial, community relations stuff) and Brittany's (two years working at the NFL league office and then a year with the Broncos, including helping prepare a bid to have Denver host the SB). Brittany is a serious business person that's worked hard to be able to run a $2 billion NFL franchise. Beth, by all accounts, is a social butterfly that ran a wedding planning/catering business.

Yeah I actually like Beth but I feel she is wanting to run the broncos more for Status then anything else. Brittany I think she actually loves the game that much she is the perfect one of his daughters to run this franchise. Glad the bill Bowlen suit got thrown out....Pat had wishes, The trustees are aligning with those wishes. I don't like Joe Ellis, because for a time I thought he was trying to get sneaky and swipe the broncos but to me its clear now, they are just following what Pat wanted all along.
    Denver's 2024 George Paton Draft/FA plan

    Draft
    RD1- TE Brock Bowers, GA
    RD3- QB Spencer Rattler, SC
    RD4- CB Josh Newton, TCU
    RD5- S Reggie Pearson, OK
RD5- C Michael Jurgens, Wake Forest
RD6- K Jonah Dalmas, Boise St

I've never gotten the general ill will towards Ellis, other than we all need someone to blame when things go wrong. It seems to me to be pretty clear that Ellis and the other trustees are carrying out Pat's wishes, which seem to pretty clearly be getting Brittany ready to be the controlling owner, and only if that failed, move on to plan B.

Also, I think people should step back and look at Ellis a little more objectively. For instance, look at the pretty much total autonomy Ellis has given Elway on football operations. You don't see Ellis interjecting himself left and right, but instead, he's giving the GM and head of football operations control to run the football side of things, while Ellis focuses on the business side and works with the other trustees on fulfilling Pat's wishes.

If this was all power and ego for Ellis, we would be seeing his face and comments as much or more than Elway's.

Also, for those fans that had respect for Pat, you should think about the fact that Ellis was both a good friend and his right hand man for many years. After he started with the Broncos, Pat got him setup in the NFL league office to get experience, and then brought him back to the broncos to be his right hand man, and then entrusted the future of his club and his children's financial security, with Ellis and two other trustees.

The Broncos went to two SBs and won one under Joe Ellis.

I appreciate what Ellis has done for the Broncos and how he's working to fulfill Pat's hope of having Brittany take over the club.
