And I'd bet a lot of money that had they kept Manning they might have had more immediate success than going with Luck, but they'd have fallen off a cliff after. And given how bad their o-line was, Manning might not have had the success or health he had in Denver.

Even though Mr. Luck absolutely eviscerated my fantasy team with his decision, he did not even consult me, I wish him luck and dont blame him one bit for stepping away.
I cant believe that a dude like him cant even play a decade because of injuries (this is the reason he retired he was always hurt and he's looking at the long game) yet a mediocre putz like Tom Brady can play for 112 years.
