    He was ejected, BTW

edit; It's worth noting that the player in this incident (Holton Hill) is ineligible for the first 8 games of the season due to 2 other unrelated suspensions.... wow.

Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders will play in a game tonight for the first time since tearing his Achilles at the Dec. 5 practice, and he will start, per source. Sanders will be introduced with Denver’s starters tonight pregame, run out of the tunnel, and be on field for first O snap.

Yesterday was awesome. Well, at least in the morning. It was in the 60's until noon or 1:00 PM. Kept the attic fan on all morning. I actually almost put on a hoodie!

The afternoon, next night and today are a different story, however. I hate my house. Tons of windows that face west and the damn place just heats up like an oven!

I also just spent $560 on our A/C. The capacitor was bad and had to be replaced.

When you say, "Kept the attic fan on all morning", what do you mean? What kind of attic fan do you have?

I had the exact same issue a few weeks ago (bad capacitor). Mine was 280 bucks to replace and I thought that was high! The capacitor itself shouldn't be more than 50 bucks retail. So unless you have a crazy big unit (haha), that's a bit of a bill of sale there.

    Whole house fan?

We have a fan upstairs in the hall that is mounted in the ceiling. It sucks the heat out of the house, and sends it through the vents in the roof and eave vents. With the windows open (and it's cool outside), brings in cool air.

How many kinds are there? It's a fan, in the attic. In principle, it's supposed to vent out the heat that rises to the topmost part of your house, allowing convection to keep the house a bit more cool. The theory is controversial though.

Not sure why it's controversial - works great, as long as it's cool outside and you have plenty of vents in the attic and/or roof eaves.

Mainly because insulation plays a large factor in its effectiveness. The mere existence of these also tend to reduce the efficiency of heatpumps/AC units.
