Plus he would have been really stupid to come back. If he gets hurt again or sucks next year because he hasn't fully recovered, he probably plummets in the draft. He still looks to be a pretty high pick right now, he had to go.

There’s also the Bama Inc. theory out there, where you simply do not draft Alabama seniors because Saban has destroyed them. But that doesn’t seem to be the case with some of the running backs. Two of them are still running strong in the playoffs.
