Exactly, and everyone here hates Booker, so I'd think everyone would be doing cartwheels that Riddick might be about to push him off the roster. I don't think he's going to be the threat to Lindsay's playing time that some here are panicking about. He'll function as a compliment that can fill a similar role when Lindsay is getting a breather.

I'd love to see them both line up in the backfield, and then put one of them (Riddick?) in motion. There's no reason they both can't be on the field at the same time.

No doubt. Having more talented options to give defenses more looks is only a good thing. Certainly better than Booker (who I'm not even as down on as most) being on the field and just kinda talking up a spot.

I'll take Lindsay over Riddick, but to claim that Riddick is not a legit threat is a bit silly. He's not Sproles or Tomlinson, but he's a big upgrade over Booker.

    Last three seasons:
    Reddick: 383 touches, 2013 yards, 11 TDs
    Booker: 386 touches, 1909 yards, 7 TDs

Let’s not act like this is some massive upgrade.

So... not even going to talk about fumbles or receiving. Seems balanced.

Edit, looks like you are including receiving, but just including a year where Riddick was a Wr. You take his last 3 years at the same position and Riddick comes out ahead in basically every category. Double the TD's, 300+ more yards, and 1/3 the fumbles...

    Pretty big upgrade.

Booker also played in 5 more games during that stretch.

I think even if you just watch them actually play Riddick is just better than Booker in terms of awareness, etc. Dont really undertand MO's problem here truthfully.

Riddick allows them to have a guy capable of playing 2 positions, something I had hopes Carlos Henderson would do.

Gives depth at WR and RB, Booker only RB.

you seem to be forgetting another freaking talented running back on the roster. I’ll let you guess who. Who by the way caught like 80 passes in college.

Who, by the way, hasn't done much in the NFL yet.

I wonder if we can calculate outstanding college players that didn't make it in the NFL...

I suspect MO’s just butthurt because it will hurt Lindsay’s fantasy’s numbers and he likely will never be a 2000 yard back because he has to split carries and catches and the like. It’s completely personal for MO because Lindsay is his boy. Riddick makes this team better.
