    Default 1946 Football

This is a really cool set of footage from the 1946 AAFC NY Yanks. Almost all footage I've seen from this era is extremely grainey and fuzzy; this is surprisingly clear. I don't know which team is which; the guys in the silver helmets are playing an early T formation offense similar to what we played when I was in High School in the early-mid 70's...we were out of date, had an old coach, and were playing an obsolete form of football even by 1973-74 standards. Even so, it isn't all that alien to me. The guys in dark helmets are playing a single-wing offense, and that is an even older form of offense that looks almost bizarre to me.
