The 1st thing that probably crossed their minds, the clause in his contract which basically states that he won't engage in stupid activities that could result in him receiving severe bodily injuries. I'm no a lawyer, but this could give them ground to tear up his contract. Even if they could, the'r almost no chance they will because he talented enough that they'll just say that he's a young man who shouldn't have is future ruined by a single bad mistake. However, it would be a completely different story if this was someone on the bottom of the depth chart.
