I need to see the offense in the preseason before I can really weigh in. We could be as good as 12-4 or as bad as 8-8. Flacco and more specifically scangs will determine how good we are. I am very leery about he and his system. Knowing in what situations to call plays, not be predictable, maybe FOR THE LOVE OF GOD CALL A SCREEN TO THE RB everyonce in a while, know what the defense will likely do and attack it. All that. I am fearful he will not have that.
Until I see how we look I will take the middle of 10-6.
The Plan at the moment:
Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).
Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell
24-0 (including preseason)
Regular season......10-6 worst; 12-4 best
i see seven to nine wins. . . fangio almost has to be better than VJ, but there will be a learning curve. . . new head coach, new OC, new DC, new schemes on both sides of the ball-- and the HC and OC are both first timers. . . i love what we did in the draft and free agency, and especially love the addition of munchak. . . it's going to take some time, though-- and we still don't have a quality starter in place at QB. . . i like the rest of the pieces on offense, but IMO we're probably still a year away on that side of the ball, unless lock gets in there and goes bananas. . . i will be super disappointed if we don't have a top five defense, but against a tough schedule, i'm not sure that will be enough to land a playoff berth. . .
conclusion-- i like the way we're trending, but i expect this to be a transition year, not a break-out year. . . i really just want to see von and chubb f*** up some QB's lives. . .
- John Elway“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”
No way to sugar coat it. I've read 2 QB ranking articles one had Flacco dead last ranked 32 and Madden has him tied for 2nd worst. 4-12.
