Interesting quote from this article in PFT. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...ies-at-age-75/
"Bowlen is the fifth majority owner of an NFL team to pass away in the last 15 months. Others who have died were Tom Benson (Saints, March 2018), Alex Spanos (Chargers, October 2018), Paul Allen (Seahawks, October 2018) and Bob McNair (Texans, November 2018)."
I was introduced to the Broncos as a toddler, before Pat Bowlen became the owner of the team.
So, it's possible I would have still become a lifelong fan of the team.
However, I am quite sure that without Pat Bowlen's leadership, I would not have become the fanatic that I am. His leadership of this grand organization developed the Broncos into one of the top 5 franchises in ALL of professional sports. I have invested way too much time in following and living as a Broncos fan, but Mr. Bowlen has made that investment some of the most enjoyable times in my life.
I'm proud to consider myself a small part of the Broncos, and most of that pride is a result of Pat Bowlen's tireless efforts to make the Broncos the #1 NFL franchise. He will be sorely missed.
To my Broncos friends and foes,
I never respected a rival owner more than Pat Bowlen. From his fur coat swag to his daily operations making the Broncos a perrenial winner for the ages, he was truly one of the greatest owners of all time. It's a shame they waited so long to enshrine him in the Hall of Fame.
A toast to Pat Bowlen and my condolences to the Bowlen family and the Broncos organization.
A very sad day. Mr. B was definitely a special person who truly cared. RIP Mr. B. God Bless Annabel and children.

Legend.

This morning on TheFan, Nick Ferguson said - Mr. B did not want to just be an owner, he wanted to be part of the team, and he was, standing on the sidelines during games and practices, in the locker room and workout room a lot of the time.

On the NFL Network, at 6:00 MDT tonight, they will start showing many different things about Mr. B. Also, heard this, and don't remember who said it - "Mr B's dream was not about making money. His dream was to win a SuperBowl"
The NFL Network has been talking about Mr. B for most of the time today.
