Not CB drafted and only one UDFA. I would have expected a bit more DB action than that.

Have you not listened to Drew Lock? The Broncos wanted him all along. THey panted after him so hard that tons of mocks were fooled and had the Broncos taking Lock at #10.

Nobody is surprised that the Broncos took Lock when he was available in the 2nd round and we heard they had traded up.

I instantly thought "they're trading up for Lock." Everybody in the NFL thought that. The radio guys instantly said that. Cecil Lammey said it instantly. I don't take any particular credit for that prediction, lots of you probably thought the same thing if you were paying close attention to who was on the board.

Elway was in love with Lock. Has been targeting him for a while. And it was a great situation for Elway since so many QB hungry teams have recently gotten QBs so they aren't in the market. Beyond AZ and the Giants there was not one team in the top 10 that needed a QB.

Haskins fell all the way to #15. That would never have happened last year when teams were snapping up QBs in the first round like trout snapping at flies.

Didn't you tell us there was no way Elway was taking a QB?

If you were so certain Elway wasn't drafting a QB how could you have also been so certain Elway was drafting Lock?

Agreed. It tells me Elway is certainly planning on bringing back CHJ, but we needed depth with or without him.

I would style on myself, but I was on vacation during this draft and barely posted. I remember feeling meh about Fant but loving the Lock value.

He is a backup. He should stick in the league, but the window for becoming great stays open briefly and you have to work to keep it open.

That being said, it's not the worst thing in the world to have him as a backup.
