My only concern is that we are in the dubious position where we still need help in other areas and using that 1st rounder on a QB is a big gamble. If Lock figures it out...we wasted a pick. If he doesn't...we need to pray Jones does. In the meantime, we still need A LOT of depth on defense.

I don't hate the gamble on Jones later in the 1st round, but I'd prefer it not come at the cost of a top safety/corner/linebacker

It was NE that made the pick, speculatively, after trading for our #9. Not us.

The broncos would be making a huge mistake giving Jones to New England of all teams. SMH

Ya but see no one, I mean no one, trusts your qb analyzing skills.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

Is this a joke? When I’ve been spot on probably more than anybody regarding the broncos QB situation.

Mac Jones has something IMO. Yes he was surrounded by talent everywhere and a OL that kept him from having to move around at all but when you watch him on the highlights and then the senior bowl where he didn’t have the elite advantages around him he had in bama he was still beyond accurate placing balls in great spots.

Mac Jones = Tom Brady is code for “Slow, Un-athletic white dude with a rag arm and a buttload of It Factor”.

All pre draft reviews are Mac lacks arm strength.

So you want to waste a top 10 pick on another Drew Lock? Mac is lock. Maybe with slightly better mechanics, weaker arm and worse mobility. Why? We already have that. If lock does not pan out we do not want a lesser version of Lock. I do not see anything that Mac does that Lock does not currently do or cannot do.

All of the best QBs in the NFL now all have the running aspect. Lamar, Allen, Watson, Russel Wilson, mahomes, etc. That is why Trevor Lawrence, Wilson are rated so high. They can pass and run.

I will take Fields all day every day over Mac.

Yes, lock has a very very strong arm. Underrated how strong it is imo. What does that have to do with what I said above?

No, only because you suggest they are the same but Lock has an arm

Lock is bigger, more mobile, better arm, better intangibles (barf) and far more experienced (both in college experience and NFL).

Other than pigment there’s no similarities.

    UR ... please ‘splain me.

The Cheatriots can’t draft, if they want Jones that means you don’t ... that’s the rule.
