Well...they are going to use him at corner, but he fits into more of a CB/S hybrid role at this point. If it were me, I'd still look at a corner early in the draft for this reason as well as the fact Jackson is 31 and Harris is about to turn 30.

I agree and don’t know why everyone in the media is so steadfast the Steelers got fleeced. AB is arguably the biggest headcase in the NFL and is pretty close to the same age as Demaryius Thomas and Dez Bryant. I’d worry about CTE with him for sure - based on the Burfict hit alone.

North of 30 elite WRs aren’t that common. And he’s taken some -spectacularly- awful hits in his career.

Seems risky as hell to me 3rd and 5th or not.

On this signing Texans fans seem to really like the guy from my informal research - seems like a heady, likable player who can bring the wood but has lost a little speed to Father Time. So, a quality veteran safety.

Jackson, who played cornerback and safety during his final season with the Texans, doesn’t yet have a defined position.

“That’s yet to be determined,” Fangio said. “Once we get the team here and start working out — that’s one of his strong suits, he can play corner, safety, nickel — we’ll use him where we most need him or that best fits him.”

“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

Hopefully they define it by matchups. So, basically, no definition of position.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

Byron Murphy at 10, can play in any scheme and excel. They might be able to trade back a bit and get a CB in 1st round.

I like Baker better. And I'm just not at all sold on greedy. LSU DBS are definitely boom-or-bust type

I don’t get the Baker hype, tbh, he looks like a scrappy middle rounder to me.
