His numbers the last two years were putrid by any metric. I don't know why we're arguing this. he was bottom third of the league in every major category.

There's an argument that Flacco will be worse than Keenum, and I wouldn't be surprised to see this. Although I'm pretty sure Flacco is going to take us to the Superbowl, there's a lot for him left to prove.

    2015 27th ranked qb

2016 7th. C complete outlier. 2nd in the league in attempts per game but averaged only 6.4 per completion and only threw 20 td to his 15 ints.

2017 21st while averaging a league worst 5.7 yards per completion and again had a horrid td to int ratio at 18-13

    2018 27th again.

Sorry i need to see a huge improvement

What of all the visits and going to watch QB's workout, play, etc?

Why not use those as the basis for irrational thought?

    Surely they mean there's interest
Irrational thought is believing that a QB who hasn't shown shit in 4-5 years as a even above average starter is now the chosen one in Denver and now will be some elite QB in his prime to lead us to the promised land, because he threw a deep ball in 2012 to beat us so he must be able to consistently stretch the field. The stats, the tape, his own fans in Bmore and about 90% of people i know from there are laughing at us, because the actual facts are he isn't that good....there is reason for that....lol

The article was from mile high report. The source was Charles Robinson. He stated that Denver knows Flacco will have games where he throws for 180 yds and they don't want him to have to worry about hey put the kid in put the kid in. Leading credence to bypassing a first rd QB as well as the comments he is in his prime. Where there is smoke there is fire with this kind of stuff. I know however that most people here will discredit the source because it doesn't fit their narrative.

I refuse to just blindly support that a QB with Zero and I mean zero evidence the last 4 years of being a above average QB coming into his prime, is now going to be that guy simply because he got to Denver.....its a joke opinion to be blunt....its hilarious that we make all these excuses for Flacco with his so called lack of offensive weapons in Baltimore but don't allow other QB's like Trevor or Case to use those excuses, despite having to play in bad offensive systems as well....its hypocritical and dumb.

What the 2019 Broncos would have to prove is that it's possible to win with great defense and no offense twice. And that has never happened. Unless you think that Joe Flacco is going to revive that 2012 SB run.

And I might jump in a time ship, return back to my old body in the 1980s and have a hell of a time in NYC with a certain voluptuous blonde I used to date.

There's sadly no time ship. And neither you nor I nor Joe Flacco can ever recapture lost youth.

How many points did NE score last year in their win? that's right a elite defense can ground the best offense when built correctly....we are literally trying to replicate exactly how we won our last SB, hopefully it works and Flacco doesn't screw it up....

Who hates the flacco signing more:

    Me, JSteve01 or elevation?

I think elevation probably had the strongest vitriol and JSteve01 the most reasoned argument but I worry my own internal rage is not being projected irrationally enough!!! I don't want to overlooked!!!

I hate his lack of leadership, his cutleresque dullness, I hate his sullen demeanor, he is a statue in the pocket, his deep ball is not accurate, I hate his yards per completion percentage, his yards per attempt stats, he is old, he is passed his prime (which only consisted of one good play off run), I hate his td-int ratio and I hate he looks like bert from Sesame Street.

I hate him more than I hated the Keenum signing and I hated that more than dread hates socialism.

I hate the fact somehow rational people expect him to be good despite 5 years of consistent shitness.

But most of all, I hope I wrong.

I hope I am wrong like I was when I concluded Ronaldo would never amount to anything because he was too fancy, or when I said Wayne Rooney is overrated or when I thought Kellen Moore was the next drew brees or when I thought Latimer would make DT surplus to requirements.

I hope I am wrong when I say joe flacco is a middling QB at best, just above bum level.

the good news is this time if were wrong Denver could be a legit playoff contender so that will cancel out any pride we had about being wrong

All the vitriol for Flacco before even seeing him run a play is a little sickening actually. I know we had a bad exp with Case but still.

Difference being that Case had actually come off a good season

Hey remember Mike Shanahan? I remember how he would almost annually bring in a retread like say a Courtney Brown and try and sell everybody in the fanbase about how we were going to somehow resurrect some stiffs career? Yeah that's how I feel right now. The only thing the Flacco gives this team the case didn't at this point is Cap flexibility. I hope that I'm completely wrong and I will be happy to eat cabbage if I am. But it is just completely silly and unfair for those of you that support Flacco to act as if we're being unreasonable because we don't expect great things from somebody who hasn't performed in 5 years. Of course I want the best for this team. When it comes to Young drafted players, and even guys like Jake Plummer I was hugely optimistic. But I have every reason not to be with this guy. Much more so than you guys have reason to be optimistic. We have reason to be skeptical.

    I don't 'support' Flacco.

I 'supported' Keenum until he failed.

I will back the Flacco play until he earns an F on the Field.

Until then, he is our QB and expectations are high.

Again the biggest upgrade is Fangio, Munchak and Scang. VJ dragged this team through dog shit and his failure is the biggest reason for the last two years.

Really? every QB not named Peyton has vitriol about him in Denver you know why, because we keep settling for BS instead of actually drafting and developing a QB....don't get crazy like this is just a joe flacco thing.....
