Except the Houston part of America. The Houston part of America is very angry today.

White Sox going all in. Keuchel and Gio Gonzalez, to go with all those young position players. Wouldn’t be surprised if they signed more. I suppose they see an opportunity with Cleveland selling parts.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

Hyun-Jin Ryu is going to Toronto. Same deal as the White Sox, some pitching to go with those young skill guys.

Some interesting signings this week after Cole went to New York.

The Dodgers front office is pathetic. It's pure hubris to dump off talent when other teams have not just caught up to the talent gap, but surpassed us by a few steps. Pathetic. You let one of your best pitchers go? Then you lose out on the other top tier pitchers in FA? Then you don't add an elite bat? ******* foolish. Stop fighting fair. It's nice to pay out big bucks to your own talent and all that, and we do that more than most elite teams, but FFS, other teams aren't limiting themselves out of some stupid sense of fiscal responsibility. You broke the ******* bank to open up a training/recruitment facility in Southern America, but you won't spend money on FA's?

******* morons. The window for a championship is officially shut.

Hate to feed into our permanent outrage culture - but man, this was so sadly preventable and MLB has been so slow to correct this.

Are they going to expand the nets for all stadiums? They should.

At the end of the article it says they are expanding them further. As they should. But I can remember saying years ago, "Are we going to wait until somebody dies to fix this?"

    And they basically did.

Their ridiculous excuse last year was they couldn’t do it in season. And then the White Sox did it in a day and a half while on a road trip. There’s not a single team that shouldn’t have nets down the line this year as they’ve had all offseason to do it, but I doubt it happens everywhere. Just terrible PR for this sport.

I'm sure someone is saying to themselves "just pay attention to the game". I hate that line of reasoning. No matter how much attention a 6 year old is paying they won't be able to avoid a 100+ mph foul ball.

I do hope they do it in a way that still gives fans, by fans I mean kids, access to the players before and after games as well as between innings. It's a small thing that pales in comparison to safety, but it's something special about baseball that separates it from other sports, and it's a tradition I don't want to see hindered.

But you might get Mookie Betts.

You might have to take on David Price's crappy contract to get him though.

Get ready to **** some shit up then. The local media here seems pretty convinced it's happening.
