I hope there's a game 7 that goes into extras. Once my personal rooting interests are done in the postseason what I hope for next is historical moments. A postseason no hitter, that would be cool. A 4 HR game. Something that my son and I can still talk about in 20 years.

Aaron Boone becomes the first person in MLB history to hit a series-clinching walk-off homer as a player, then lose on a series-clinching walk-off homer as a manager.

    It's a combination of both.

The Astros have a ton of "home-grown" talent...Altuve, Bregman, Correa, Springer, Yuli, Yordan (thanks Dodgers), Kyle Tucker, McCullers...then they make huge trades for guys like Cole, JV, Osuna, Pressley, Greinke (huge trade even if I don't care for the move), Brantley, etc.

Aaron Judge is 6'7" and Altuve is 5'6".

Which is why I'm glad that Baltimore was able to steal Mike Elias and Sig Mejdal from them.

I wasn't disparaging your team. It's hard to get far without homegrown talent. I'm just saying, when you end up winning another WS, and people bitch that you spent money, ignore them. Small market fans in MLB are pretty evil, and want to steal your joy. They also kick puppies.

LeMahieu’s 26 regular-season home runs topped his previous high of 15, proving to all of the so-called East Coast baseball experts that LeMahieu was more than a*Coors Field*creation.

Then again, any Rockies fan who watched LeMahieu evolve from a part-time player in 2012 into a three-time Gold Glove second baseman and two-time all-star, knew he was special. His ability to be in the right spot at the right time was uncanny. His athleticism was beautiful to watch and allowed him to play multiple infield positions for New York.

Park factor. More home runs at that band box. Of course they went up. Most impressive thing to me was that the number of doubles he hit stayed on par with what he hit at Coors.

I enjoyed watching Correa rocket that ball to Robbie who tagged DJ's face at home plate to get the out. Beautiful play. Almost as beautiful as Correa's toe tap at second then 95 MPH throw to first to get the double play. NBD.

That's nice. You're giving me reasons to root for the Nats.
