At least the Padres are doing something. Bridich and Monfort are just sitting on their hands when they aren't busy alienating the franchise player.

I get the feeling, but I just can't bring myself to do it. The Rockies are an almost every day part of my life from April to September for 13 years now. We come home from baseball/softball games/practice and finish the evening watching what's left of the Rockies game. At this point it's habit or addiction, but I can't stop.

I like the Angels a lot, mostly because of my man crush on Mike Trout. But even them I can't get into like I do the Rox.

I could never cheer for another team. My allegiances are in my bones. The Rockies aren't even the worst of it for me -- being loyal to the CU Buffs has caused me more misery than all of my other teams combined.
But with pro teams like the Bengals and Browns, who are truly inept, I wonder how those fans keep their sanity. The Rockies are pretty lowly, but at least we have that NL Pennant in my lifetime.
Being a die hard fan of a non powerhouse college team is so stupid. At least in pro sports, every team more or less has the same opportunity to build a winning team. Some do it better than others, but ultimately every team has pro athletes and at least a chance.
If you aren't one of the major college powers, you basically have no hope past the once in a blue moon season where everything comes together.
I don't really have a college team. Hopefully in a couple of years my boy goes and plays college baseball somewhere and then I'll have a team, be it div 2 or 3 or whatever.
