Based solely on this mock...stand pat, trade up or trade back?

I've said I would be OK with Lock if we don't move up for him. That's said...a LOT of talent going after us in this mock. Would be hard not to trade back a few and try to get any 2 of QB, LB or CB

I'd be perfectly fine with that pick, I think. I will be good with Elway trying to fill the holes we have, and QB is the biggest need I see.

I just noticed the second round. I'd be pretty upset if we grabbed the Temple CB over a Bama LB

Based on this mock, Lock is a lock if he's John's guy but how will they know he'll be there? I could live with Devin White but the OL seriously needs some better guys up front and they can't draft more Schofields. Non-plussed with this draft after the first round.

Alot will change by draft day. I see Lock gaining steam and with a need for QBs I believe he goes in the top 5. Baker Mayfield around this time wasn’t even considered to be the first QB that would be drafted. John will need to phone up the 49ers if he really wants Lock. It will be alot to give up but if he really believes in the kid then I have no problem with us going up to get him. What’s the alternative? Stand pat at 10 and watch another team draft him? Be stuck with Keenum for 16 games?

Also, if you’re going to trade then I believe it’s best to be proactive. The Jets traded early and basically it handcuffed everyone else.

I guess stand pat, but I believe it would be a mistake passing on White. He wouldn’t be there if you trade back.

I'm actually starting to believe the only way we get lock is to trade up for him. I think a team like Miami is going to try and trade ahead of the Giants or Jags to snag a QB. So if we were to stand pat at 10, I don't think we will be getting Drew Lock, Jones or Haskins. I have no problem with Lock at all at 10 if he is there. I really do find it funny how the fans are harping how bad Lock supposedly was at the Senior bowl, but all the GM's and scouts there had really nothing but positives to say...I have said from day 1 we should go after lock, and now he my end up being the first QB of the board possibly as early as pick 5 or 6.....The bottom line is we either need to go get our guy like lock, or stay at 10 and take a blue chip defensive player at CB, ILB, or the DL. anything other then that doesn't make sense. The whole wait till 2020 draft for a QB doesn't make sense either. If we need a QB this year then you get one wherever you feel that might be as a GM....you don't wait and hope the draft class stays on course for the next year. That's how GM's get fired.....and Elway's seat is getting hotter for a reason....you can only band aid a position for so long.....he is lucky the drat class was a strong as it was last year, if it was like the year prior his seat would be ten times hotter.....

yep, agree here completely, if we really want Lock or any of those top 3(not Murray), then we need to go get him because a team like Washington or Miami or even early teams like the giants and jags moving up a spot or 2 will handcuff everyone else.
