Rulon Jones (2 PBs in 9 seasons) was the '80s version of Chubb & Mecklenburg's partner in crime. https://www.pro-football-reference.c...J/JoneRu00.htm

Malik Jackson, all I can say about him is in the 3 years since he got shipped out to Jacksonville after 4 seasons here, his tackles appear to be down a bit, but his sacks & tackles for losses are up a bit. I'm not sure what to make of that. https://www.pro-football-reference.c...J/JackMa02.htm

Who's better, I can't say because I rarely got a chance to watch MJ play, but I've definitely got a bias towards the old Orange Crush

Malik was at his best when he had all stars around him. When he left so did his mojo. I'm going Rulon.

Our defense with and without Malik was night and day. Interior linemen that can penetrate are HARD to find. We shoulda paid him, not Wolfe.

    On this, we can agree.

However, Rulon Jones was a very special player. Dude was simply amazing. All things being equal, I'd take Rulon in a heartbeat over Malik.

Rulon Jones was far and away a much better pass rusher than Jackson could ever hope to be.

It doesn’t take much to get me to come.

What do you do in soccer?

That’s pretty cool. I’m in charge of parks and rec maintenance. Our leagues seem to do okay. The local middle school finally started soccer and it hurt our numbers. I’m happy to see the sport grow in America.

Seen them both and Rulon was a game wrecker. He also was much more well rounded. I know youre a Vols fan but jones was elite for a few years
