Last year we kept hearing how of the top four quarterbacks in the draft Elway liked Mayfield, but if I'm mistake the guy that he really liked was Darnold.
It may be a moot point, because if Elway stays put there is good chance that Haskins and Lock are both gone before 10.
I love Murray as a prospect. All he does is win football games. Haskins or Lock do not excite me as much as Murray does.
- John Elway“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”
Eddie LeBaron was 5-7 and lasted 13 seasons - four-time Pro Bowler.

That said, I still think height is a disadvantage for a QB. OLs today are 6-3 to 6-7 generally.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.
I think I'm more worried by the 180lbs than I am the 5'10".
Eddie LaBaron was playing around the time my parents were born, and as kids.
