Thread: Our number 10 overall for Josh Rosen and a pick?

If Elway thought that Rosen was a franchise QB, he would have taken him at 5 last year. He's desperate for one and still passed. I doubt Rosen did anything his rookie season to change Elway's line of thinking. One of the biggest concerns with Rosen is his concussion history. Although he wasn't diagnosed with one this year, he went to big tent for evaluation at least once.

Zig, do you think Elway should decide who the next QB is?

Again Zig and im not even sure i like the deal just spitballing but huge difference taking Rosen at 10 vs at 5 last year with Chubb on the board.

I really don't know Hawg. I have no idea if it was Elway that banged the drum for Oz and Paxton, or if a guy like Matt Russell sold him on them. Either way, Elway has done nothing to prove that he can evaluate QB's successfully. I hope he's learned from past mistakes and when the right one comes along, he'll see everything in him that was missing in the others.

I agree about the difference. I still think that if Elway sees a QB that he thinks can be the franchise, he'd pull the trigger regardless of who else is on the board or how high the pick is. He's not afraid to swing and miss at the QB position.

    Yep.

I like the noise that he wanted Mayfield. That gives me a measure of confidence.

Well I said it last year when everybody was talking about what a great class it was. There wast one of those guys I didn't have some pretty serious red flags on. Rosen with the injury history and wondering how his personality would match with an NFL roster. Darnold with the turnover issues Lamar Jackson is he a running back or is he a quarterback. Baker Mayfield might be too short and had kind of an abrasive personality. Josh Allen big arm, huge accuracy problems

A few different radio shows during the week have mentioned that Rosen has very few fans inside the locker room and doesn't put in the work. Sounds like the arrogance many feared has reared it's ugly head.

But the thing is Elway had him scouted last year, interviewed him, and had him come into for a workout and still passed on. He obviously didn't think enough of him to take him at five I don't see how one year later and difference of spots in the drafts makes that big of a difference.

That would be a good of enough reason for me not trade for him if he is actually on the trading block.

No thanks. I wouldn't mind having Peterson but hard pass on Rosen.

So, is Rosen gonna be a draft day trade, or are the Cardinals gonna stay with him?

They'll be lucky to get better than a 4th IMO.

You think they'll still try to get rid of him? Not a very good return on their investment.
