It would at least be better than Flacco.

Put it this way, do you think you have any chance of luring Lincoln Riley with Matthew Stafford, the third ranked rookie ... or Case Yates? If not, which one gives you the best chance of getting Riley?

Hate to break it to you, Jaded, but no Lincoln Riley.

Kubiak said he had no interest until Elway came calling. But he sure as **** isn’t recruiting Riley with Case ******* Keenum.

    Oh yeah, huge mistake.

But I'm sure winning an extra game or two and not being able to draft a guy able to do that would have been better.

I also think that the year they drafted him they were credited as one of the worst teams ever. They might not have been tanking. They were as bad at football as you are at understanding it, and evolving a meaningful opinion.

That was harsh, but you deserved it.
0-3 in the playoffs. Was it worth it?

Let's say they tanked. let's say they were a three win team. Who from that class even gets them into the playoffs? Especially when in two of those games he played more than well enough to win?

Or take it in comparison to those extra wins vs Stafford. Stafford helped make them relevant again. What do those wins do nine years later? We can't even remember what games they probably threw.

I'm not even sure why we're debating this. Stafford is an elite-level Talent, who also happens to have immense toughness, and is loved by his teammates. If there were any way to make this happen I would do it in a heartbeat. Not sure why Kubiak would hate having a guy who talent-wise could remind people of John Elway. I also think it's interesting that Kubiak has Elway's ear and yet we're hearing how interested La is in college Concepts. The big deal for Stafford was that he's never had consistent leadership. Schwartz was almost that guy but too much of a diva. We all know about Caldwell. And Patricia looks to be another Belichick flop. Add to that the lack of a consistent Run game. He and Megatron got murdered because they couldn't try anybody out there that would even make the roster on other teams.

Agree - but i think your assessment of Patricia is premature, i think he will break the mold of failed BB assistants

He is a Vance Joseph clone. Their defenses sucked during his tenure. And the last year they were bottom third. See the super bowl
