Well God hates gambling, so you should have expected that.

What has DT done this year? With us or since?
So at the time we traded him we got a fourth rounder.

If someone thinks he's not worth more to this team this season than that they're either braindead or lying.

He had a solid game against us, missed a week, had a bad week, and had a two TD game. In a brand new season...in a middle of the season trade.

The best argument Elway had then was that it looked like we were out of it - but here we are, right in the thick of it. Now heavily relying upon a rookie WR.

    This sucks ostrich ****.

    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

Its not this year. It is his contract next year. It was worth it.

We could have cut him and not taken much of a hit. Which is worth it when you need a player and don't have a lot of depth.

We now have Sutton, Cracraft, Patrick, and Hamilton. That's what we were left with when we traded DT if ES got hurt.

    It is what it is.

Maybe we can get Lattimer back.

I'm more concerned about CHJ than ES. It's a tough loss, but it's not like he's irreplaceable.

This is a season where our rookies are our best players. Now's the time to let the young kids shine, not opine over DT who is a shell of his former self. We'll either be fine or we won't be. Either way, life will go on tomorrow.

Sutton looks like he can do some damage in the league.

Sure hope he can step up and be our number one.

He's outplayed DT if you compare each of their production since the trade. He has one more catch and over 100 more yards. And he's still raw as can be. DT is done my man.

I really don't like the lumping everything into one thread. I don't really want to go through 5 pages to find one thing I'm looking for.

No, the trade was a good and it happened at point when it looked like Denver had no shot making the playoffs. I don't recall you saying anything negative about the trade when it happened.

This was a basic point I made regarding why a trade for DT might not be the most desirable thing. If I knew this was a possibility then it's fair to lay it upon the feet of Elway.

    Here's hoping we recover.
Next time Elway is looking to dump $20 million receiver, remind him to get out his crystal ball on seeing injuries.
