Original name for their hockey team back in the 70's-80's. Nearly became an NHL franchise, but didn't have great ownership.

Totems is weird but kinda cool actually. Just doesn't roll off the tongue.

Sockeyes though. Literally punching someone in the eye. And a sock with an eye for a logo. So easy.

Seattle Shiticanes tho. Could have this segment on the big screen that shows the shit barometer dropping right before the 3d period.

Kraken is one hell of a name.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

Sports marketing win of the day (considering the other sports marketing thing in the news, it wasn’t hard).

Sounds too much like "scrotems". Might as well name them "Seattle Ball Sacks".

I think Kraken is stupid. With a name like that, they better not suck. I would've gone with something more aviation-centric like Seattle Aviators or Seattle Aeros. Pilots I don't like because the red jersey reminds me too much of the Pilot truck stops. The Rain City Bitch Pigeons was my favorite though.

I'm cool with Kraken, it was better than most of the other suggestions.

I don't like hockey but that name is so cool that I might become a Kraken fan.
