Default Urban Meyer Steps Down At Ohio State, Leaves Complicated Legacy

Ohio State University head football coach Urban Meyer announced in a press conference on Tuesday afternoon that he will be stepping down from his head coach position following the teamís appearance in the Rose Bowl against Washington on New Yearís Day. Offensive coordinator, Ryan Day, will step in and become the teamís next head coach after serving in an interim capacity at the beginning of this season.

In his retirement press conference, the 54-year-old Meyer alluded to the health issues that he has been working through as a main factor in the decision, along with Dayís readiness to take over.

USC job will be open in 2020. (Probably late 2019.)
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

Until a couple high-priced boosters contact Urban.

I think I'd rather have Kingsbury. Urban will have a few great years then get "sick" when things get tougher and bolt. Kingsbury could be the guy for the next decade plus.

I almost read it and then I remembered I donít spend many waking hours thinking about the legacy of anyone involved in Ohio State football.
