I don't think KCL is blaming the victim for Hunts actions. It's fair to say that the woman and her friend should have left.

Since that comment has now been refuted by three separate posters, i need to address it.

I think people have a different definition to me as to what victim blaming is.

It is not saying the victim flat out deserved it - but it is about critiquing the victim's choices in open discourse whilst not holding the person who used violence as 100% responsible for his choice to be violent.

It is dangerous, because even slightly shifting focus onto the victim, removes focus from the perpetrator. On the micro, it appears like a fair analysis, on the macro it contributes to rape culture, patriarchy, misogyny and the doubting of victims claims.

I understand some people on this board, either don't believe in patriarchy, rape culture or misogyny, and some people will think they are the natural order of things and that they are in some way "good".
