Also there is Rumors and mocks reflecting that Daniel Jones may declare this year now that Herbert is going back to school. If so its entirely possible after the combine and pro days he ends up being a viable rd. 1 QB, he also is raw and doesn't have much experience, but he is talented and has been getting great coaching at duke.
I’m not suggesting we draft him. I’m pointing out that he transferred from Boise because Rypien was given the job.

Jones is RS JR that just graduated this DEC, he is coming out. He is Kirk Cousin clone, solid arm, decent movement, can play with back to scrimmage on Play Action, Sneaky speed, Needs the right system to be successful.

No backpedal. You are correct. I thought we were discussing Herbert.

In the Rose Bowl, you'll have Haskins (QB) from Ohio State against Murphy (CB) from UW. Should be a good matchup. Both are predicted 1st round picks, probably top 10.

Daniel Jones playing in the Independence Bowl now for Duke. Already had one really impressive throw, and I didn’t realize how much he directs the offense. Cutcliffe has a history of developing smart quarterbacks.

Anyone watch Will Grier WVU QB? Most rankings he is right below Osu haskins, except yards per attempt.

    3864 yards, 37 TD, 8 ints, 67% completion. 175.5 QB rating.

I am curious because he is considered one of top 4 QBs along with Haskins, Lock and finley. Stats wise he and haskins are the top 2. But haskins also was on a far superior team that the other 3, surrounded by good talent.

6th in nation in yards and 5th in QB rating,

I think he has the same questions as any college spread QB: He’s got the arm, but he only took snaps from under center at Florida before transferring (in limited playing time) and his command of an offense where the coaches aren’t calling his audibles from the sideline.

He’s skipping a West Virginia’s Bowl game, but is a senior so should be at the Senior Bowl and combine.

The two systems I worry about most are Urb’s and Dana’s, and two of the top QB’s come from those systems.

    Draft
    1st round— Cooper Dejean CB
    2nd round— Jack Sawyer OLB
    3rd round— Will Shipley RB
    4th round— Ricky Pearsall WR
    5th round— Ladd McKonkey WR
    6th round— Cash Jones RB
    7th round— Carson Steele RB

Can I offer some optimism? Actual King optimism, not just representing the other side of the argument?
