Default Dez Bryant diagnosed with torn Achilles, will get MRI

An initial diagnosis shows recently signed New Orleans Saints wide receiver Dez Bryant suffered a torn Achilles tendon in practice Friday, sources told NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport and NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Bryant will undergo an MRI to confirm the diagnosis.

Bryant, who will get a second opinion on the injury after the MRI, suffered the injury while running a routine route in practice, sources told NFL Network's Jane Slater. He signed a one-year deal with the Saints on Wednesday and practiced with the team for the first time Thursday.
