What if the return was 4 1st round picks?
So Elway would be able to draft the next Sylvester Williams, Bradley Roby, Paxton Lynch, or Garrett Bolles? Or all 4? Count me in!

It came out that V.J. lied to him about being up for a trade. Elway admitted he always told DT that he would be a Bronco. Some people just don't like being lied to their face (Elway is one thing, as it's the GM, but a coach shouldn't just lie to a guy like that) and take it seriously.

He will be a ring of famer and this will be mostly forgotten.

Unless DT doesnt want to. He might hold a grudge because of all this which is his prerogative.

Nah, he might have a beef with the shitty HC, and a beef with a GM he used to love, but he is Broncos incarnate.

I'm going to hold him, North. Hold him tender.

If he gets to the playoffs I bet he forgives John. I wouldn't forgive VJ.

I agree. John is the same guy who gave him a big pay day and showed him love.

I agree. VJ is the guy who called him out even though he was the offense's best player by fair. Then VJ lied to him. VJ hasn't really done anything to ever earn any benefit of the doubt.

    **** Vance Joseph.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

I think that might be going a little far.

Hope his leaving will be a blessing in disguise. People usually seem to take the high road over in their former teams. Not Thomas however!

Different free agency era though, so it's not a great comparison.
The shelf life of a 27 year old running back is considerably shorter than a 29 year old generational pass rusher.
