Ugly game.
Ugly game.
I dont think Pat Forde the article writer is a big fan of Tenn. He came out for blood here, lol

Cal’s reasoning for silencing the chant was sound: If Tennessee is overrated, it lessens the impact of the No. 5 Wildcats’ savage, 86-69 punking of the Volunteers. And Rick Barnes is a close friend. And, perhaps most
importantly, Kentucky has to go to Knoxville in two weeks for a rematch and doesn’t need to give more payback ammo to a badly beaten team.
So you can understand why Cal didn’t want the Kentucky fans to say it. But I will.
Tennessee is oh-ver-rated.
The Vols shouldn’t have been No. 1 in the nation coming into Rupp Arena, and they sure won’t be when the new polls come out this week. Good team? No doubt. Great team? We’ll see.
It’s still wait and see with Tennessee. This program is a zero historically in March, and nothing that happened in a showdown game Saturday indicates that’s about to change dramatically this year.
That 19-game winning streak? Yeah, good stuff. But it was also accomplished against a run of really mediocre competition. The Volunteers have beaten zero ranked teams since Gonzaga on Dec. 9. They beat one, maybe two NCAA tournament teams — Alabama and Florida twice — and I’m not sure either the Gators or Crimson Tide really deserves to be in the field of 68.
Yahoo isn’t real journalism. He’s always been a tool.
I don’t understand rankings at all. I’m ready for the tournament.
Guess there is a lot to be proud of as a Cavs fan the last few years but last year was definitely a sore spot. I really hope they can at least make the Elite 8 this year.
I guess Kentucky was overrated.
UVA destroyed Pitt last night.
Though I've lost my interest in basketball, keep your eye on this kid.

Selection Sunday #1s would have to be:
Duke
Mich/Mich ST
Tennessee (if they win)
I'm not sure who else. I feel like you need to be a top 10 team and win your conference. So if Tennessee wins there's 1 spot left. If they lose there will be two. That would be a toss up between:
UVA
UNC
UK
Tenn (if they lose to Auburn)
Lunardi currently has Virgina, Gonzaga, Duke, UNC as the 1 seeds. I don't think there is any chance in hell Michigan or Michigan St get a 1 seed. Both too low in the NET. I could see Tennessee sneaking in over UNC or Zaga if they win today, but probably not if they lose.
I probably wouldn't make them a 1 seed either but who knows. They did have nice wins over Duke and Washington, and they are ranked #2 in the NET, so I could see it going either way. I don't usually put a ton of stock into conference tournament results since the teams fighting for a bid usually want those games more.
Tennessee not winning the regular season SEC title gives me a little pause making them a 1 seed (I realize you could say the same for Duke), but winning today would certainly put them in the discussion.
The way I see it, Duke and Virgina are mortal locks, and the other two will be between Gonzaga, Tennessee, UNC, and MAYBE the big 10 champ but I doubt it.
