I took my kids to a theme park a few hours drive away, they do this Halloween special event. Now I am sure this is run of the mill stuff for you guys, but for us it was mind blowing

Basically they decorate the whole park and rebrand all the rides to scary themes, then at 1800 hrs, all these creepy characters in full costume come out and start chasing people around the park, they hide and jump out and just generally cause mayhem.

    It was really great.

We actually went about six years ago but the kids were too young to appreciate it, so since this will be our last Halloween in Germany, we wanted to make the most of it. It was awesome.

Still not a huge fan of that holiday though
Universal Studios theme park does that. They call it “Halloween horror nights”. They run it for the month of October on select nights of the week. My wife and I used to take our kids every year. They always had different themes for areas of the park and they convert several buildings into haunted houses of various themes. They are also one of the few parks that serves booze so it’s pretty awesome. My family loved it.
