Thread: Freeman and Lindsay

    Default Freeman and Lindsay

What are some ways we can get these guys more involved and even on the field at the same time?

Teach them how to block so we have to rely upon Booker less.

See if you can get Lindsay into the slot.

    A tiny bit of wildcat?

Freeman as a DE and Lindsay as a CB!

    Call more plays for them.

*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

Default 'Thank God we've got the little guy': Broncos seeing big dividends from Phillip Lindsay's play

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Phillip Lindsay was the guy no team wanted during the 2018 NFL Draft.

Well, not enough to spend a draft pick on him.

Round after round, NFL clubs passed on the 5-foot-8, 190-pound back — and the Broncos sure are glad they have him now.

Through seven weeks, the undrafted free agent leads Denver in rushing yards (438), rushing attempts (75) and yards per carry (5.8).

During his latest performance, Lindsay tallied 90 rushing yards and 14 carries in Denver’s 45-10 romp over the Cardinals. His 28-yard touchdown late in the third quarter helped punctuate the Broncos’ win.

I think the idea of having them both in the backfield and then sending one in motion has a lot of possibilities.

They've done that at least a couple times.

They should be doing it at least 5-7 times a game, not twice in 7.

If you think a passing offense is the way to go, you are the delusional one. I submit to you our QB and defense for consideration.
