Everyone knows the physical talent is there.
He's a film junkie. He can run the floor and be a 'modern big'.
There were 'motor concerns' with him but I chalk that up to him being a talented big in college. He's fast enough to deal with all these forwards who are playing "positionless," basketball. He needs to gain physical strength. If he can his quickness allows him to be a dominant defensive force. Might not get the blocked shots that Dwight Howard got, but defense is more than just stat categories.
He would have been eaten alive in the 90's. But he's built for today's game. I don't see a future first ballot HoFer, but I see All-Star games and DPOTY. He got killed for not being able to run shooters off their spots but eh...that strikes me as a go as you learn type of thing.
And let's be honest he's displayed shooting talent so if that gets ratcheted up enough he then walks into the vaunted "this guy can be the second best player on your championship team," status.
I liked the pick - he was polished enough to not just be one of those dreadful project players.
