Default Talib to undergo ankle surgery

Looks like he's going to be spending some time on the sidelines.

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. -- Los Angeles Rams cornerback Aqib Talib is scheduled to undergo surgery after suffering a high ankle sprain against the Los Angeles Chargers.

McVay said Talib's recovery process and a timeline for his return would be predicated on what doctors discover during surgery Thursday."It's unfortunate," Rams coach Sean McVay said Tuesday.

"It depends on once you get in there because the specifics of what the severity is once you actually see what needs to be totally fixed," McVay said. "If there's something going on with his deltoid [ligament] then it ends up being a little bit longer."

The league is a sad place without an active Talib.

Or kept him at 12 million and not ended up with a guy who is just as injury prone playing tackle for us?

You might have a point. However we may never see an elite Talib again.

Isn’t this where we insert the free safety discussion?

It's not about him being elite - although up till this point he had given up 20 yards all season. It's about a leader and good play. Roby has blown ass, although Woods scheme is probably to blame to. Albeit Roby not turning his head around isn't really all on Woods.

    You'll insert nothing you pervert!

How much are we paying our 3rd corner?

No clue. That's completely irrelevant when discussing Talib's worth to this team. I understand your argument, Davii. It's about team construction in a bubble whereas this is about team construction in practice.

To be fair, it's entirely possible that if he stays a Bronco, he doesn't get injured at all.

True, but it seems as though db’s suffer a lot of injuries like that when they get on the wrong side of 30.

Talib should be in the ring of Fire.
