How so? Mayfield and Darnold were the 2 sure things in the draft. I guess you can make the argument that they should have traded up, but that requires someone willing to trade down

A lot of people didn't have Mayfield as a sure thing. I'm just frustrated that somewhere in the draft is the guy and we can't ever seem to find them. We're going with Keenums, TS's, Oz's, etc. If it's not someone like Manning Elway is just clueless.

In defense of Oz, he was projected to go where he was taken. But,, its up to Elway and company to research those guys (and guys like Wilson and Cousins) before making their choices.

Maybe they coulda developed Oz into something and that potential was there. Then it's on him for not getting the right guys as coaches (or the right coach who makes his staff).
