SF Giants ended their game on a questionable strike call and on a 1-run game differential, that was huge!
My Red Sox are in rested and waiting who’d be playing next!

And baseball will still refuse to add any sort of technology to their officiating.

The decision makers in MLB are really dumb. Baseball doesn't have to die off, but they choose to kill it. Pandering to die-hards who will always be around -whether they admit it or not- is so silly.

A strike and a ball are factual things. We can determine they, full stop. There is no reason for them to be subjective aside from it forces hitters and pitchers to adjust to the ump, which has some strategic merit to it. Then again, why are umps so glorified that they get to warp the game in this day and age?

To the swing itself - in real time I thought it was obvious he checked his swing. On replay it was beyond dispute. While I think the Dodgers probably win regardless, we don't know. I don't feel bad for the Giants given how they benefited from variance all season and were clearly the worse team, it sucks for their fans.

It wouldn't have made a difference. Scherzer was pitching, with two strikes and two outs. Pace of play is a real problem is baseball...I think more replays would make it worse. That said, get rid of the home plate umpire, let the computers call ball and strikes. It'll speed up the game and take bad calls out of the picture

The replays, actual replays -which you're talking about- might slow things down, but in the playoffs it's worth it.

Home plate umps suck, but **** the Giants. They had a million breaks go their way this season.

**** yeah! They overachieved and benefitted from the Dodgers losing star players left, right, and center.

And they got knocked the **** out.

Braves with walk-offs in Games 1 and 2 of the NLCS. That's how you get that "Team of Destiny" talk started.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.

We threw away game two and barely won game three.

We are now currently shitting the bed.

Imagine losing a team that literally is a shittier version of you. JFC.

I hate the Dodgers but I also hate seeing Turner go out like that. Real bummer.
