That’s baseball. Best teams all year were probably San Fran and Tampa and they’re both home watching.

    Scherzer is out.

My kingdom for a Dustin May or Clayton Kershaw.

We should get a write-off for subsidizing half the ******* league.

This is one reason why we have a labor dispute.

MLBPA believes that $32.65 penalty the Dodgers are paying isn't going toward player compensation when the small market teams get it.

Teams like the Pirates are true bottom feeders with no incentive to ever compete. Small market teams are the real villains of the MLB, but the plebes cry foul.

It bugs me how the Pirates during their last window of contention never eclipsed their $105 million payroll. They had a chance to win a championship with their core of Andrew McCutchen, Gerritt Cole, Starling Marte, Jameson Taillon and never made the aggressive moves to try to put them over the top.

Current Pirates GM Ben Cherington, who won the 2013 World Series with Boston, has put the Pirates in position to compete during another window with the likes of KeBryan Hayes, Bryan Reynolds, Lioner Peguero, Nick Gonzales, Henry Davis, Roansy Contreras, Quinn Priester but there's reason to doubt that owner Bob Nutting won't give him the resources to make it worthwhile.
