The Raiders are currently undergoing a rebuild, and no player is safe going forward.

That was on display recently, when the team had no problem parting ways with one of the best defenders in the NFL — trading Khalil Mack to the Bears for a pair of first-round draft picks.

Even “franchise” quarterback Derek Carr could be on the chopping block going forward. The team took him in the second round of the 2014 draft, and Carr signed a $125 million contract extension last summer. New head coach Jon Gruden may not want to go down that road with Carr, though, and may prefer to look elsewhere by drafting his own guy. Will Brinson of CBS Sports brought up some great points about that very subject.

Comparing him to our backup? I love you UR.

Ya think? How did you even get to this comparison logically?
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

I think his point is that Carr is better than Keenum to the point that it's not even worth mentioning Keenum's name. However, there is a chance that our backup and possibly future QB, Kelly, might be as good or better than Carr. But, that's TBD.

You'll have to excuse my friends T, theyre a little slow. The town, its back that way.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

How does Kelly's regular season stats match up with Carr's? I haven't done the research.

He's not the next Tom Brady, but nothing concerning about his regular season stats yet.

I watched that movie no fewer than 100 times growing up. I can recite basically every line.

I thought most were ‘Carr is awesome’ last year. Now....it’s ‘Carr is overrated’.

I guess we could come to this conclusion mid season, perhaps. Gruden is very full of himself regardless what Carr is.

It would be a stupid move.

I went back and looked at his stats if had been here rather than Oakland I think we would have been the playoffs the previous two seasons.

Default Derek Carr to be traded?

Can they keep Carr and we'll just take Amari Cooper? I think even Keenum could win with DT, Cooper, Sanders and Sutton. 😋
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.
