I was really on the Harbaugh train before this game, but keeping Jackson in this long is just an indefensible coaching move.

I was saying it in the first half. They haven't moved the ball all day. I'll get flack and I'll take it, that style qb is just not successful in the nfl, once other teams have tape on them.

Then theee question becomes is he REALLY making a mistake? If Lamar is the future do you stick with him? Does sitting him cause a rift with the organization?

It can work but they have to be able to pass too. A guy like Vick, for example, was a similar runner to Jackson, but there was always the threat he could throw a 60 yard bomb down the field. SD can just put 10 in the box and not worry about it.

That's a good point. If he is the future...which he clearly is...then it may be best long-term to stick with him and let him fully experience this feeling. It will be a good learning experience you would think. But you also don't want to let this ruin him.

I think you bench him at some point in the 3rd. Now is too late.

Yea I mean a qb who can't pass. Jackson can't pass. Jackson =Tebow.

I'd probably rather win this game than worry about the long term ramifications of benching Jackson if I'm Harbaugh. Harbaugh might not even be there next year.

I can't believe they kicked the field goal there instead of going for it on 4th. SMH.

I would think being in the playoffs, a HC would play to win and not worry about giving a rookie experience. I can't say for certain Flacco gives them that chance, but it's obvious Jackson doesn't. As it was said before, it's too late now. This game is pretty much done.

Who is the dc in sd? He's done a fantastic gameplan.
