I had listened to this episode of Econtalk about a month ago: Devon Zuegel on Inflation, Argentina, and Crypto

Basically, everyone who is able to save anything in Argentina tries to get it into crypto so that they have something the Government can't take away either literally, or through sky-high inflation. I wonder how much devastation there is there now.

That poor country used to really have things shaking for it. Now it's just...I would conjure up a guess as to how demoralizing it would be to live there....but it's just conjuration.

@Hawgington: My tulips are scant. Pretty much pivoted towards trying to hack it in a tough field. I can PM you more details if you want, but the tulips might one day bloom.

Tangibility is important and anytime you base something's value on something that isn't tangible, it's more often than not doomed to fail.

I really just came to this thread to see what UR has to say since he's the biggest "crypto bro" on here. Turns out, not much.

Actually i havent been on the site much at all since summer. Oddly enough I got the urge to come here while eating lunch.

I'm def not a crypto bro so I do appreciate that in quotations. As for crypto what's the topic now? Haven't read thru the thread.

But yes, crypto has been great, made a lot of money off of it so far. It's in the dips now. It will go back up. That's what happens during a recession, stocks and such go down. Do you guys use hindsight and come back to any stock or investment you've made when it dips?
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

I put quotes around "Crypto bro" because that's what someone else in this thread called it. Not my name.

Hell no, I didn't make any investments in crypto.

My wife and I have a bunch of XRP. We bought a ton of it when it was very cheap. We were buying it up at .07¢ and that range. Last time I asked my wife she said we were somewhere in the top 20% of XRP holders. Crossing fingers.

I own some as well... for a few years now. It and Bitcoin are among top long holds. (multiple 4 year cycles)

The talking heads say it will hit $3 maybe even $5 dollars by this end cycle (next 13-16 months). I don't know about that.

This has been the most suppressed crypto. Ripple labs has further suppressed itself by it's aggressive release schedule. It needed this war chest to single highhandedly take on the federal government all on its own the last few years. There's just a lot of it... and it's being continually released onto the market. That's why it's so steady and yet seems to never pump with it's fellow large caps. It has it's own burning mechanism... so it should be deflationary... but it's not been able to overcome the release schedule thus far. This will soon change... This should end once the last SEC case ends here very soon.

It's a conservative crypto asset. It's setup for international cross border banking clearance. It actually does something unlike most of the rest. It's not going anywhere. It's also not a get rich quick but rather a long play. It's the adult coin in the room. It's usually been the last of all the large caps to pump... but when it moves it moves fast! When this thing finally gets totally unshackled by all the SEC legal tangles ...it's going to rocket! I'm just not sure how much time it's going to get in this cycle to move. They've done everything they can to slow this thing down.... which begs the question what they go planned?!?!

Now that it won it's case against the evil empire (SEC)...... (that effect retail)....It'scurrently the only crypto with legal distinction as to not being a security! Even Bitcoin can't say this.

    My wife said "spot on".

She's the real brains behind our crypto operation. We own a few other ones too but XRP is our big one.
