If we have to rely on Matt Moore, we are screwed anyway. I would rather see what swag can do.

Id rather Kelly go FT than Moore, he would get killed out there behind that OLine.

I always respected Moore when he was with the Fins.

The oline has protected very well, even the back ups protected well in the first pre season game. The line won't be the blame for this offense failure as it's been the last 5 year's or so... Along with quarterback.

Broncos will place OL Menelik Watson on IR and release him when healthy, an NFL source confirmed (1st by @MikeKlis). Although the Broncos are typically one of the best in keeping their dead money low, they will eat a cap charge on this one. His $5.5M salary was gtd in March.

Watson signed a three-year, $18.75 million contract with the Broncos in 2017 to shore up the right tackle position. He started 7 games, then was placed on IR with a foot injury. On Denver's initial depth chart this year, he was listed as the No. 2 RG behind Connor McGovern.

According to Over the Cap, about $6.8 million will count against the Broncos’ cap for 2018 (Watson's salary and prorated signing bonus) and another $1.3 million in 2019.

good riddance to bad rubbish! we are once again perilously thin at OT, though. . . really need to spend another high pick there in the next year or two. . .

A rookie anyone is a better option than a proven atrocious player. Guy got beat on the first play last year in preseason.

I wonder what this does to our ability to cut Paxton Lynch...

To answer my own question, cutting both would leave us with about $5 million left in cap for 2018 and $18 mil (prior to a cap increase) in 2019... We're kind of tight on cap. Paxton may survive just to save us dead money.
