I know those feelings all to well. Its not an easy battle and not an easy fix.

I mostly use my self-loathing to channel my abilities. I'm mostly kidding.

Drugs. Illegal and legal. Destroying our brains, damaging neural pathways, not allowing us to think correctly, playing havoc with our seratonin, melatonin, dopamine and the mechanisms that deploy, transmit and receive those chemicals. We need to stop pretending that these powerful, mind altering drugs are harmless fun.

Suicide by the bottle is true. My deceased BIL did that, plus pills. We, as a family, are still wondering what his demons were. In 2012, he left two beautiful girls.

I was talking to my sister (a nurse), and she said if a person texts 741741, a crisis worker will contact them. I guess it's a depression/suicide hotline.

Yeah but what about those that were junkies and then have kids? Those kids might not be junkies but I believe it effects them as well. My parents have foster kids that come and go. Many are so messed up and need heavy meds just to be normal.

For me, it's changed my life. I have one medication for depression and a different one for anxiety. I take them every morning first thing. I've talked to people with the same issues and these same meds don't work for them. I'm sure it's incredibly difficult for doctors to figure out which meds will help which person. It's mostly trial and error.
