    Default Check It Out

IGNORE the write up on the Shane Ray but go down to the podcast midway down the article and check it out. Great stuff on Chubb and Sutton.

I assumed Ray was gone as soon as the pick was announced. Given some of his public hints of dissatisfaction after the draft I would not be surprised if he’s gone before the start of camp.

Coach Larry Browns take on Sutton, whom Sutton played basketball for at SMU. June Jones telling Brown he could take 5 of his football players and beat any 5 of his basketball players. Browns take on why Denver got an amazing player and why he can talk all day about Courtland Sutton. His amazing 3 cone at his size.

The history of the Chubb family and his upbringing. The Chubb family heritage as a black family, their historical homage to the past as a family. Bradley Chubb growing up, along with his brothers and the expectations placed on him and his brothers. How the Chubb family was really happy he made it past the Browns to Denver. The variety of fronts he allows Denver to use, etc

They talk about Chubb most of the time......then its Courtland starting right about minute 40.

    Great listen.

I like what they said about Josh Allen and Paxton Lynch, saying Allen isn't a first round talent, that Allen has tools but just isn't there, just like a player we already have...Paxton Lynch.

Basically, this is what everybody has been saying all off-season, despite the endless furor "the Broncos HAVE to draft a QB!!!!"

About 10 teams had a chance to draft Josh Rosen for instance, not just the 8 teams that passed on him (Browns twice). The Dolphins and Ravens for instance could have moved up to #10 to get Rosen when he fell there, not just the Cardinals.

The Steelers also took Mason Rudolph in the 3rd round and the Giants took Lauletta in the 4th and the Titans took Luke Falk in the 6th. None of those teams has a totally stable QB situation. Roethlisberger has talked of retirement in the next 2 seasons, Eli Manning is running on fumes and Mariota was horrible last season, with a 79 passer rating, 13 TDs and 15 INTs. He was Peyton 2015 bad.

Any of those teams could justify taking a new franchise QB - IF they thought one was available. They didn't make a move.

Tells you what you need to know about how NFL Gms really viewed this draft class.

I hope Allen works out for the Bills, I have a soft spot for them being that I lived in the area until I was 12 and my family back there are avid Bills fans.

I just feel Allen was the most overrated QB in the draft. Cannon arm does you no good if you can't complete a pass.

So glad the Broncos went Chubb over Allen.

    Hope Allen no good.

I like how Cugel speaks for NFL GM’s now, every GM thinks these QB’s are buzz because he says so.
"Tuning ... into each other ... lift all higher”
    “I’m just different!”
“ . . . Picture a cup in the middle of the sea”

    Draft
    1st round— Cooper Dejean CB
    2nd round— Jack Sawyer OLB
    3rd round— Will Shipley RB
    4th round— Ricky Pearsall WR
    5th round— Ladd McKonkey WR
    6th round— Cash Jones RB
    7th round— Carson Steele RB

Can't, that would be caving to white privilege.

I want a write up about a white man in the NFL. Then a write up about a black punter breaking through all punting barriers. While he dances.
