not comprise all of Israel. (Levi, another son of Israel's is counted among the Jews.)
The remainder of the tribes are commonly known as the "Lost Ten Tribes," although they
are not really lost, and their locations can well be traced in a thorough study of history.
What one would discover is that all the descendants of Israel are white.
So what made the ancient Jews so tawny in complexion? It wasn't genes. It was the
locale of their existence. The Jews habitated ancient Levant, which composed what are
now the modern nations of Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Jordan.
The sun-beaten climate of Levant causes the anatomy to develop a higher amount of
melanin, a pigment that protects the body from sunlight through absorption. This process
results in the darkening of the skin. So, while their complexions are darker, they are still
white by genes. so the biological Jews have always been caucasian -- white.
BTW, I am biologically Jewish (well, that and Irish, which is descended from Dan, another
son of Israel . . . but that's another story).
Hope this helps . . .
